Why We Don't Release Every Coffee We Taste

Lots of people don't know what goes into releasing one of our coffees. Every month, we try lots of samples from our partner importers.

We roast each one, cup them, and taste them in various brew methods before deciding which ones we want to bring to our customers. We look for clarity and quality of the farming process and uniqueness in flavor.

We are constantly testing, tasting, and improving our process, so that what gets in your cup is pure enjoyment.

Luckily, we’re in the business of staying caffeinated!

It’s important to us that we share only the coffees that really stand out. We are led by taste and smell…and maybe our level of excitement for the next morning’s cup.

Everyone’s palette is unique, and finding what you like will be your key to unlocking your best brewing experience. As James Hoffman of Square Mile Coffee Roasters would say - It would be weird if you liked every coffee on our menu. Once you find your taste profile, you can experiment more with your coffees, while enjoying the journey of brewing better coffee at home. The more coffees you try, the more developed your palette will become.

Like cream and sugar in your coffee? Totally fine…we won’t judge. But try it black every once in a while. You may be surprised at what you find! We’ll save more details on that for another time.

Happy brewing!
