What You May Not Know about the Easy Day Blend

As one of our most popular blends, it's no surprise that the Easy Day has quite a few characteristics. From its unique origins to the way it's roasted, there's more to this coffee than meets the eye. In today's blog post, we'll be taking a closer look at one of the lesser-known aspects of this iconic blend - its name. So pull up a chair and brew yourself a cup of Easy Day Blend as you read along!

If you’ve lived through the last 2 years, then you probably have some level of understanding that life is hard. Work. Life. Balance. It’s become more recently known as work life integration. From home offices to living room daycares, and virtual learning to zoom fitness classes, we’ve somehow adapted, or not so much, to a new way of parenting, working, living.

Meanwhile, in a not so distant place, military life continues. Deployments didn’t stop, working from home wasn’t an option for most, and the meaning of critical personnel came to life. As the days continue to float by, you find yourself realizing that the only easy day was yesterday. Yesterday, because you made it, no matter how difficult it seemed in the moment. You made it to today - a new set of orders, a mission that will likely feel harder than the ones you accomplished yesterday. But your chain of command calls it to be, and you make it happen - Easy Day.

The term “Easy Day” is used so often in the military for tasks that are hard, unpleasant, and sometimes almost impossible. Sound similar to life right now? There are so many days in each of our lives, so many tasks, so many goals, that seem like mountains. You have 2 choices - keep moving forward, or quit.

Our goal in creating the Easy Day Blend was to inspire you to keep moving forward. Those impossible missions that are so often commanded in the Navy are answered from sailors with, “Easy Day,” without a thought, and without an option to quit. They will make it happen no. matter. how. impossible. So, we hope that with each cup of our Easy Day Blend, you remember to keep pushing forward.

Remember that with each mountain you climb, big or small, you made it - Easy Day.
